Jordan Savage joined the American Foreign Policy Council in January 2022 as a Fellow in National Security Affairs. She is the editor of the Africa Political Monitor, AFPC’s in-house bulletin that provides a review of politics in both North and Sub-Saharan Africa. Mrs. Hayley is also the founder and CEO of Hayley-Savage Strategies, a woman-owned small business that specializes in business development and communication.
Mrs. Savage most recently served in the Department of Defense (DoD) as an advisor to the (acting) Secretary of Defense, advising the SECDEF and his team on department priorities, such as Great Power Competition, transnational threats, Gold Star families, and department organization/personnel. Previously, she served as a Special Assistant in the office of Special Operations and Combating Terrorism. She was responsible for supporting the DASD, SO/LIC, and USD-P front offices on operations and activities related to Irregular Warfare and Counterterrorism.
Prior to her time in the DoD, Mrs. Savage served as the External Relations Director for Presidential Personnel (PPO) at the White House. She was responsible for overseeing presidential appointments, ranging from SKC to Senate appointed positions, amongst all executive agencies, and served as the main liaison between outside organizations and PPO.
She is an alumni of Liberty University, graduating summa cum laude, where she double majored in Military History and International Relations.
