Sponsored by American Foreign Policy Council
Washington, DC
September 15, 2010
On September 15, AFPC Kraemer Strategy Fellow Jeff M. Smith hosted a policy lunch for visiting Indian scholar Dr. P.R. Kumaraswamy at a prominent Capitol Hill venue. Dr. Kumaraswamy is widely recognized as India’s foremost expert on Indian-Israeli relations and was in Washington, DC promoting his new book, India’s Israel Policy. The lunch was attended by Indian scholars from Washington’s think tank community and committee staffers from the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. The group had a lively discussion about India’s policy in the Middle East, including its relationship with Iran, as well as Indo-U.S. relations, tensions with China, and other topics of mutual interest.
