On  September 7, AFPC hosted a dinner in Washington, DC with a delegation from the International Department of the Central Committee of the CPC led by Vice Minister Liu Jieyi. Jieyi previously served as the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and has had regular interactions with AFPC delegations. Former Governor Tom Ridge and Senator Bob Kasten joined AFPC staff in a candid discussion with the vice minister. Both sides voiced their views of current Sino-American ties and the future trajectory of relations.
