Graphic Design Intern

AFPC is seeking a graphic design intern to help with design oversight for multiple projects. The position is part-time, unpaid, with the opportunity for flexible hours. Interns are expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week between 9am and 5pm in the AFPC headquarters. We are specifically seeking candidates with intermediate experience in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Candidates should also have an interest in foreign policy and national security. If interested, the intern will have opportunities to conduct foreign policy research and writing, and publish opinion editorials.

Responsibilities vary depending on program schedule, but may include:


  • creative oversight on organization publications
  • designing high quality and professional brochures, newsletters, reports, and publications
  • creating informational graphics
  • updating report templates
